Hidden Mickey Wiki:About

The idea for Hidden Mickey Wiki came about when I realized that a wiki was a much better media type for managing Hidden Mickey information.

Hidden Mickeys are constantly being created and lost, because the attractions and shops they are associated with are constantly being changed. A good example of this is the overlay of Splash Mountain in 2023-2024, which led to the loss of nearly all of its Hidden Mickeys and the creation of some new ones.

Older classic attractions like the Haunted Mansion have had the same Hidden Mickeys for years, and there's no indication this will change. A good example are the "Mickey Plates" in the ballroom scene, which have been in place since at least 1996.

Since the information about Mickeys is constantly changing, it seemed to me that a Hidden Mickey site should be in a media form that can also change at any time.

Also, I like the idea of Hidden Mickeys being a community resource, for the enjoyment of Disney fans. The contents of Hidden Mickey Wiki won't be published in book format, because the information is too dynamic.
