Mickey's Toon Town

Mickey's Toontown opened in Disneyland on January 24, 1993. It is a small-scale recreation of the Mickey Mouse universe where visitors can meet the characters and visit their homes which are constructed in a cartoonish style. It was inspired by "Toontown" from the 1988 film "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" in which the cartoon characters live alongside humans. The buildings are stylized and colorful, resembling a Max Fleischer cartoon. There are several attractions involving classic cartoon characters, such as the houses of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and a small children's coaster. Toontown underwent a significant refurbishment in 2022, reopening on March 19, 2023 after a year-long closure. Added attractions include Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, new park areas, a park playground for kids, a splash zone, an interactive play area, and a brand new fountain. Because of the high number of Hidden Mickeys in the Mickey Minnie Runaway Railway, the listings have been split into "Queue" and "Ride". Rumor has it that there are over 100 Hidden Mickeys on this attraction, as the Imagineers were told to "go wild".

Hidden Mickey Found	Next to the Fireworks Building, there is a Gym sign in the shape of a punching bag. On this bag is a large orange circle and inside the circle is Horace Horsecollar holding up a barbell. The two black circles and the large orange circle complete the Mickey.

Wishful Thinking	There are several Hidden Mickeys on the hill behind Mickey's house. Stand at the Trolly station and look above Mickey's house. You should see several Mickeys. CONFIRMED: There is a hidden Mickey in the hills behind Mickey's house it is formed by the small tree on the hill. WISHFUL: There are a lot of trees on the hill above Mickey's house with balls on them, but there's no obvious Hidden Mickey there.

Hidden Mickey Found	At the backstage entrance across from Minnie's House, if you peek around the corner, there is a hidden Mickey in the stones on the wall. Not many people have seen it. CONFIRMED: There is a Mickey face just around the corner in the stones and its about 7 feet up. UPDATE: Got a picture, and it's hard to see because of foliage that has grown in front of it, but it's still there. WARNING: This area is technically "back stage", so if you want to look at it, be sure there's no Cast Members floating around, because you might get scolded!

Toon Town Train Station

Unknown	There is a Hidden Mickey visible from the railroad just before arriving at the ToonTown station. It is on a dog house that is right next to the right side of the railroad. Across the front of the dog house is the name "Boomer". Underneath the name is a horse shoe, and is positioned directly below the two "O"'s. The horse shoe and the two "O"'s create a perfect hidden Mickey.

Unknown	Search a little bit and this water tower can be found amongst the trees, nestled between Fantasyland & Toontown. Its easy to see while riding the train or if you're boarding at the Fantasyland-Toontown train station. It's not a Hidden Mickey in the classic sense, but it's somewhat hidden and has a large Mickey Mouse logo on it.

Hidden Mickey Found	In the first room after the train breaks apart, there's a cactus on the wall to the right of the exit. Cactuses are always a little tricky, but this one in particular looks very much like a Mickey. UPDATE: There are a lot of "Mickey Cactus" in this room, but I'm counting them all as a single Hidden Mickey, just as I do with the popcorn Mickeys in the lobby.

Hidden Mickey Found	As you enter the Carnival Room, there's an attraction called the "Mirror Maze" to the right. Above the maze doors are the letters "MM". This reminds me of the Marafont "MM" in the queue of Indy Jones. Note that this could be "Mickey Mouse" or it could be "Mickey Minnie"; for now, I'm calling it Mickey Mouse. (Change my mind!)

Hidden Mickey Found	Near the entrance to Mickey's Movie Barn is a special mirror. If you wait a few seconds, Mickey's head will magically appear. CONFIRMED: It's the Sorcerer's Apprentice. He disappears and reappears every 10 seconds or so.

There are a few small black Mickey Mouse head formations among the other musical notes. These are the Hidden Mickeys.

Wishful Thinking	The "driveway" of Mickey's house (next to his car) has places where the pavement shows the "cobblestones" underneath. Just to the left of the rear tire of his car (as you face the garage) is one of these spots. There are three of these stones arranged in a familiar pattern. WISHFUL THINKING: The three stones aren't the right sizes. One of the ears is the same size as the "head".

Unknown	While I was in the line for Minnie's house, I looked at the wall to the right, and I saw several stones that made a Mickey shape. They looked like the ones at Gadget's Go Coaster. CONFIRMED: My brother-in-law found this one, now that I've converted my friends and family into raving mad Mickey lunatics. It's on the wall near the bathroom by Minnie's house in Toontown

UPDATE: Looking at pictures of the pink book in Minnie's house with the mickey head on it, I realized somethig even funnier. The head is a pair of ears added onto a circle with a cross under it, the symbol for "female." This is a symbol for a female mouse, so technically it's a hidden Minnie!

Hidden Mickey Found	The Hidden Mickey is when you come around the first U turn to your left in line. It will be on your right hand side directly between two courtesy lights when you are about have way through the turn. It's almost at the top of the wall. It is made out of three rocks. CONFIRMED: When you get in the line for the Gadget Go Rollercoaster look to your left before the comb bridge and a little farther past that and you will see two "rock" Mickeys' on the wall.

Hidden Mickey Found	The Hidden Mickey found in Gadget Go Coaster in Toontown. It is located once you are in line on the stone wall on the lower left side when you are facing the loading dock for the coaster. Once you get past the three bridges, look to the left stone wall above a courtesy light. There are three stones that are in the shape of a Mickey. There are at least 2 more on the wall as well. One is about 20 feet ahead of the original sighting on the left.

Unknown	In the area where guests are physically boarding the ride in Gadget's Go-Coaster (ie: inside the treehouse), there are "blueprints" adorning the walls. On one of these such blueprints, is a drawing of Mickey. There is also a note about meeting Mickey for a dog show or a horse show or a picnic lunch or something of the sort. This note is scribbled beneath the drawing. The blueprint would be best viewed standing in the third row while waiting for the acorn train to pull in.

Unknown	When you are in line if you look at the coaster as it is going up the first hill you can see the hand turning the crank to the side of it there is 3 gears that make a hidden Mickey. CONFIRMED: On the top, the large hand is turning a crank connected to three small gears. The three gears make up a hidden Mickey. It is sideways but is still rather easy to see. Both my daughters spotted this one when we were walking to the ride and pointed it out. Mom didn't agree at first but later confirmed it after seeing the other hidden Mickey's in the park.

Unknown	When you fully exit Gadget's Go Coaster, you will come upon a popcorn vending machine. If you look up at the top of the popcorn popper and look at the fake popcorn models you will see a piece of popcorn that has the shape of Mickey's head. CONFIRMED: The popcorn kernel is about a foot across, and is mounted on top of the popcorn wagon.

Unknown	If one is a Cast Member and can go up on the hill behind Gadget's Go coaster, there is a Mickey stone on a small masonry fence. This one has the actual face of Mickey instead of just the three circle outline normally scene throughout the park. CONFIRMED: As a Cast Member I would like to confirm the existance of the sculpture of Mickey Mouse behind the mountain on Gadget's in toontown.

Hidden Mickey Found	A Hidden Mickey is on a hubcap as you are about to board Benny the Cab. The Mickey is stamped onto the center of one of a pair of hubcaps sitting atop barrels just as you make the last turn in the queue to get on the ride. Its on the left where there is a caged in area with a whole bunch of stuff.

Then, if you look to the left you will see a wire fence with signs on it. If you look over the wire fence you will see a storm-drain. If you look closely you may see the Hidden Mickey.

This is just before you get to the part of the queue where the weasels are moving across the bridge-like thing overhead. The poster has pushpins drawn in to look like they are holding it to the wall. The pushpin in the upper left-hand corner of the poster, along with its shadow, forms a Hidden Mickey.

Unknown	Just after you enter the building and just past the license plates on the right wall about eye-high, are 3 bricks embedded in the wall forming a loose Mickey silouette. To add some legitimacy to the Mickey sillouette, just to the right of the Mickey bricks is a stack of bricks that's shaped like Goofy and his well-worn top-hat. Check it again just as you are about to board the ride.

If you look at the garbage along the top of the can, you will notice two cans just above the steering wheel. To prove this, if you fold the graphic in half with your eyes, the outline would be symmetrical.

Unknown	On one of the manhole covers inside the ride, not outside like the Decor manhole cover, the vents cut into it are in the shape of a Mickey. Unknown	When the ride first begins and your car enters the China shop, you may notice many doilies on the cupboards, etc. If you look to the left and behind (right next to the door you enter from) there is a cupboard with the only doily in the room that sports a hidden Mickey. You have to be quick to see it but it's there. It is bigger than the rest. When you enter the China Shop, you have to turn the car all the way around.

Unknown	Inside the ride, as you leave the "fall to earth" scene, after the doors close, when you leave the room, you look back and will see the sky with a bunch of stars. One of the stars ( upper left hand corner) is a Mickey ballon. You need to be really close to see this. CONFIRMED: There is a hidden Mickey in Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin in the room right after the room where it looks as if you are falling. You have to turn your car around and be in the second car to be able to see it. If you look at the doors as they close, there are a bunch of stars on the backside. One of those stars has ears sticking off the top of it.

Unknown	In the Dip boiler room the exlosion has caused a huge hole that lets you see into the alley. The whole has the earmarks (sorry) of a Hidden Mickey. The shape may be off just enough but I am not sure. CONFIRMED: As a Toontown Cast Memeber I can confirm that the whole in the wall caused by the dip spill is an intentional Hidden Mickey.

Unknown	In the last room or next to the last, there are a lot of clouds. Look very closely at the inside edges of the clouds, and you'll notice a Mickey face. CONFIRMED: It's on the cloud door on the back. Made of clouds.
